Tornado Old meat locker building

Sublette County Sheriff KC Lehr took video of a tornado seen on Saturday afternoon, June 20th, east of Big Piney. His wife, Rebecca, first saw it around noon. It only lasted a couple of minutes. No property damage was reported from the tornado.

Later that evening, another thunderstorm produced strong winds that destroyed the cinderblock frame of the old meat locker building that was being renovated on Pine Street on the west end of Pinedale, sending debris across the highway. Earlier demolition work had removed the roof and interior walls, leaving just the outside walls unable to hold together from the strong winds. The evening strong winds in Pinedale caused large branches to fall from trees and also destroyed a tent set up at the Museum of the Mountain Man.
