Free Fishing Day
Saturday
Can
fish without a license today – for
free. Each year, Game and Fish designates the first
Saturday of National Boating and Fishing Week as
a free fishing day when anyone can fish in Wyoming — except
within the Wind River Reservation and Yellowstone
National Park — without a fishing license.
Wyoming Free Fishing Day is June 6, events planned
throughout state. Events are planned around the state.
All fishing regulations, creel and size limits, gear
restrictions and stream closures remain in effect.
Participants will need to bring their own fishing
gear to these events, and all children must be accompanied
by an adult. In Pinedale, events begin at 10:00am
at the Dudley Key Fields Pond. Sponsored by the Town
of Pinedale, Wyoming Game & Fish, Bridger Teton
National Forest, Trout Unlimited, Pinedale Little
League, and Pinedale Field Office of the Bureau of
Land Management. Free gift bag of fishing supplies
for participants.

Holders of valid water rights from the Green
River, the Little Snake River and its tributaries,
within Wyoming’s portion of the Colorado
River Basin, will be eligible to apply to the
recently enacted Voluntary Water Conservation
Program Act. Irrigation, livestock, agricultural,
industrial and municipal water rights are some
beneficial uses where incentives could help rights
holders find ways to use less water and send
more water into storage and downstream in the
voluntary program. Entering into the voluntary
program would allow water rights holders to not
lose their water rights for not using their water.
