Tony Vitolo sent in these photos of a male sage grouse strutting his mating call recently in Sublette County. Early in the morning each spring, males congregate in areas where there are females and put on a show of puffing up their chests, fanning their tail feathers, and drumming as part of their mating ritual. Wyoming has the most sage grouse of any state.
