Anna G. Peter, 96, of Pinedale, passed away Nov. 6, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 at 11:00AM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pinedale. A luncheon will follow the service.

Anna G. Peter (Oma), aged 96, passed away peacefully on November 6th, 2025, surrounded by many of her loved ones.
Born July 22, 1929, in Falken-Treffurt, Thüringen, Germany, Anna lived a long and full life marked by kindness, resilience, and tremendous love for her family. She was a beloved mother of three, grandmother of two, great grandmother of four, and a friend to many.
Anna was known for her determination, humor, storytelling, and her unwavering faith. After coming to America in 1953, she never stopped sharing stories of growing up in Germany. In Anna’s presence you knew you were going to hear a story about her incredible life.
She is survived by her children: Marie Allmon; Robert Allmon; James Allmon; grandchildren: Adam Furlong; April Rogers; great-grandchildren: Ashley Hopkins; Emma Rogers; Shane Rogers; Daisy Rogers; and a brother who lives in Germany, Helmut Gerstenberg.
A funeral for Anna will be held on December 6th, 2025, 11am with a luncheon to follow at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pinedale. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories. Please show up in your best dress and please no black, Oma made it clear to her family that she didn’t care for that color.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends, her warmth and generosity touched all who knew her. We ask you to remember Anna G. Peter the way her life was lived and the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. The love and laughter she shared will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
Oma would often say, "When bad things happen, something good will always come out of it." This will stay with her family forever.
