Funeral Service for Karole Taylor August 19 in Pinedale

Karole Marion Taylor, 87, of Palisade, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2022.
Born on July 19, 1935, she lived a vibrant life, cherishing fond memories of her time spent in Pinedale, Wyoming, with her beloved Wind River Mountains serving as a backdrop.
After leaving Pinedale, she attended private school at Radford in El Paso, Texas. From there, she attended beauty school and opened a modeling agency in California, before assisting the National Parks Service in various locations throughout the southwest. She soon fell in love with the serene landscape and warm climate of the desert, living in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, to name a few. She disliked the snow and would often say with a warm smile, "I prefer green grass and frogs" over the harsh winter climate.
She loved crossword puzzles, a well-brewed cup of coffee, country music, dancing, and a "bluebird" sunny day. Most of all, she loved her family and the numerous acquaintances she met over the years.
Karole is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Dorothy Taylor, brother Charles Taylor, and son Daniel Herbert. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Michael and Matthew Herbert; daughter Kandyce Sauer (née Coats) and son-in-law Jeff Sauer; grandchildren Christopher Herbert, Joseph Herbert, Sean Herbert, Ryan Herbert, Tania Martinez, Hally Lee Herbert, Shane Herbert, Chase Cota, Lacey Besaw, Kassey Cota; great grandchildren Teresa Herbert, Elizabeth Herbert, Kadence Herbert, David, Layla, and Lexi Martinez, Marley, Talin, Liriel, and Hunter Cota, Ryder Trimble, Shaylee and Eli Besaw, and Lyra and Taige Nelson.
A ceremony will take place at the Pinedale Cemetery on August 19, 2023, at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of Karole’s life at the VFW. Food will be available, and acoustic music is being performed by members of her family, including Michael Herbert, Jeff Sauer, and nephew Todd Hanna. To send a card or plant a tree please see:
