A significant winter storm is predicted to spread across the northwest beginning Monday, February 20th, Presidents Day holiday. Heavy snow is possible with potential accumulations of 6-12 inches at lower elevations and 12-20 inches in the mountains. Winds could gust as high as 30-45 mph in the wind corridors. The system is expected to last from late Monday night through Wednesday afternoon. Daytime highs in the 20Fs, nighttime lows in the single digits. Travel could become very difficult to impossible.
