JACKSON, WYOMING – April 8, 2020 – Old West Days, previously scheduled to be held May 16– 25, 2020, in Jackson, Wyoming, has officially been canceled due to COVID-19 safety measures concerning large gatherings, the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce has announced. The decision is in keeping with a recent video from Jackson Mayor Pete Muldoon, asking visitors to "please hang your hat at home" for now. Two of the festival’s main attractions, Million Dollar Music Fest and the ElkFest Antler Auction – which dedicates the majority of its proceeds to the National Elk Refuge on Jackson’s outskirts – will be postponed to dates that will be announced later in the year.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the event’s planning committees, made the decision to cancel the event as the "right decision in supporting our commitment to the community’s health and safety and adhering to Town and County recommendations," according to the Chamber.

Jackson Hole’s Old West Days, the annual family-friendly 10-day festival typically held in the month of May, including over the Memorial Day weekend, is a celebration of Jackson’s history and culture. Old West Days celebrates Jackson’s Wild West spirit through entertainment, food, drink and more.

The "Old West" will look forward to welcoming visitors and proudly displaying its character when it is safe to do so again. News of the rescheduling of the Million Dollar Music Fest and the ElkFest auction will be posted on the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce website at jacksonholechamber.com when more information becomes available.
