Fred Pflughoft took his first backpack of the season with his son Kit and daughter-in-law Kelli to Big Sandy Lake in the southern Wind River Mountains in mid-June. "Weather was great, scenery was spectacular as usual and although we escaped the bugs because of the cold front that moved in they will be ferocious by this next weekend."
