A calf moose was hit and killed on US 191 on the north end of Pinedale on Monday morning. The moose mother returned to the scene with a courting bull moose following her, themselves becoming hazards to traffic. Betty Boehm had her camera and captured the moment. The cow moose seemed satisfied that her calf was dead and the cow and bull moose safely crossed the fence into the open pasture.
