Boulder Lake Fall Album

Photographer Fred Pflughoft posted a new album of scenes from a trek he took to the Boulder Lake area a couple of weeks ago seeing bald eagles, moose, beautiful scenery, and incredible light due to a storm.
"As a professional photographer for 30 years now it has always been my goal to represent what I see in the field as closely as I can when publishing. With film you had to find great light. Unfortunately with Photoshop, Light Room and other editing programs you can now create great light (not real, but the none-the less nice to look at). What most casual observers don't know is that a lot of the colors they are seeing in today's digital world don't exist in real life outside of computer manipulation. So why am I making such a big deal out of this. Because honestly it takes far more work to find "Great" light than it does to make it and as a pro who has spent hours in the field looking for great light it doesn't happen all that often. The last several images of this new album have some incredible light that was so unreal I felt obligated to share this little diatribe. The colors that evening at the inlet of Boulder Lake were so unbelievable that I had to tone them down to even make it look somewhat real. It was an hour of pure unaldurated joy watching the Creator paint this spectacle. I hope you enjoy His work."
