Obituary: David Matthew Maloney

David Matthew Maloney, 57, passed away December 25, 2015, from a cardiac event in his home. He was born October 28, 1958, in Torrance, CA, to David Benjamin Maloney and Harlene (Mocroft) Maloney.
David spent his childhood in Torrance, graduating from South High School in Torrance. He earned his Associates of Art/HVAC Certificate from Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, WY. David married Ann (Reid) in Pinedale, WY. He was an air conditioning technician and supervisor at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, CO.
David's interests included spending time with his family, going to movies, outings with friends, video games, hunting, karate, and fish tanks. Some of his favorite sayings were, "Always remember, Daddy is funny" "Why be afraid? What's the worst thing that could happen? You die and go to heaven! Win-Win!" David was a member of Calvary Chapel in Grand Junction and Pinedale Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; father, David B. Maloney of Tucson, AZ; mother, Harlene (Mocroft) Maloney of Torrance, CA; son, David C. (Rachel) Maloney of Chicago, IL; daughter, Alyssa (Scott) Dearborn of Fort Walton Beach, FL; brother, Matthew (Jane) Maloney of Palos Verdes, CA; sister, Sylvia (Bryan) Wagner of Torrance, CA; grandson, Royal Dearborn; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Aunt Sylvia (Bob) (Mocroft) Sandoval of New York, NY.
A memorial potluck will be held in celebration of David’s life, Monday, June 20th, 2016 at 12 noon at the Pinedale Bible Church, 219 Industrial Site Road, Pinedale, Wyoming. Family, friends in community and church members are welcome to join us to honor David’s life. Memorial Contributions can be made to Pinedale Bible Church - Missions PO Box 1063 Pinedale, WY 82941.
Ann, David's beloved wife of 29 years describes her dear husband through these words, "David was my love, my protector, and my Christian Warrior. He was the One the Lord gave me." Love lives on forever.
