The Best Overall chili winner was Bettina Soarriwe.
Each winner received an embroidered apron made by Nan from The Talking T-Shirt in Daniel and a portion of the chili entry proceeds.
The silent auction was very successful and fun and we want to thank the following businesses & individuals for their contributions: Brandi Mills Delta & Mac McCormick Sublette Examiner Pinedale Roundup Pinedale Lumber Rena Looney A to Z Hardware Rendezvous Pointe Treasure Cove Sublette County Chamber of Commerce Pinedale Aquatic Center Bomgaars Fandek Saddlery The Cowboy Shop Daniel Den Great Outdoor Shop Wind River Yoga Cayle Flugel Altitude Drug Stockman’s Bar Obo’s Jeanne Brown Timberline Lodge Pat Poletti Pinedale Arts & Crafts Supplies
Twenty homemade desserts were donated for the live auction that included cinnamon rolls, cherry pie, ginger cheesecake, carrot cake and a Robert E. Lee cake. Jay Fear did a great job keeping everyone motivated and spending for a good cause. Barbara Bain won honors for making the cake that raised the most money and was the best decorated.
Several cases of beer were donated by the Green River Bar. Special thanks go to Office Outlet, Pinedale Online and First Bank for advertising support. Thanks to all community members who helped by making salads and cornbread and coming to enjoy the food and fellowship. Many others contributed their time and energy in organizing, setting up and cleaning the schoolhouse afterwards. It takes a community to hold such an event, so if we have missed thanking anyone we apologize and will make up for it next year! All proceeds will be used to conduct the Daniel Community Center’s 2016 upcoming events (Mother’s Day Tea, Yard Sale, Old Timers’ Picnic, and Christmas Celebration), pay insurance on the renovated 1920 schoolhouse and enable the community to use the building for your events.
