Town of Pinedale update - Winter
by Town of Pinedale
December 21, 2015
We want to ask every driver to please slow down not just during this weekend festivities, but all the time. Our roads are icy, visibility is often poor, and during vacations, lots of children will be out on our streets—so please, slow down and be aware of our conditions.
Just another reminder, we will not be plowing the Town Streets until 3 inches of snow have accumulated or expected to in the near future.
Another winter concern is always freezing pipes. I know you have heard it before, but it is important, keep your meter warm, and run a bleeder line to help keep your pipes from freezing. We continue to get questions and reports about frozen pipes. Running a pencil lead size stream of water continuously helps keep both supply and sewer lines open. It is also a good idea to leave the doors to cabinets holding kitchen and bathroom sinks open during extreme cold; you want to make sure your homes heat is reaching plumbing lines and fixtures. If you need help winterizing or repairing damage, there is a list of service providers available on the Town of Pinedale website at www.townofpinedale.us.
On a cheerier note, the Town outdoor ice rink will be opening soon! The ice rink will be on the North side of the gazebo in the American Legion Park. The base is in and filling is underway. The rink will be larger this year and in the very near future the rink will be lit up. As always, the bathrooms in the park will be open 24/7 and they are heated. We hope you will all come out to enjoy this traditional, picturesque, and healthy winter recreation.
The Town is also adding to its web site offerings. If you are interested in getting a monthly newsletter about Town happenings, or in receiving the email/text message alerts, you can go online and easily enroll in these free and informative services. Please visit www.townofpinedale.us. If you need help, just call us at 307-367-4136.
We are also offering free business listings. If you want your business services listed, just let us know. There is no charge and absolutely no strings are attached. Our intention is to provide easier access to your business contact information and to increase the online presence of Pinedale to locals and out-of-towners. Of course, we also want everyone to take advantage of the Town website for all kinds of important information. If you would like to participate, feel free to contact Maureen or Parris at Town Hall. We’ll get you set up.
The Town Hall and Town Public Works will be closed at 12:30 Thursday, December 24th through Sunday, December 27th.
Again all of us here at the Town wish all of you a wonderful Holiday Season filled with blessings and good cheer.
