November 8, 2013
A former Wyoming man has been convicted of killing his ex-wife and her two young sons 33 years ago near Pavillion, Wyoming. In a recent revelation in the case, Gerald Uden, now 71 and living in Missouri, told the Court that he ultimately disposed of their three bodies by placing them in metal barrels and dumping them into Fremont Lake near Pinedale. Uden was charged and has been convicted of the murders of his ex-wife Virginia Uden, 32, and her two children, Richard Uden, 12, and Reagan Uden, 10, who disappeared in September 1980. Their remains have never been found.
The revelation came as part of a plea agreement with the state in return for not seeking the death penalty. Gerald Uden has been sentenced to life in prison.
