Visitors to the New Fork
Original post February 22, 2013 | Updated February 24, 2013

Update Sunday, Feb. 24: Thank you to everyone who sent in their identifications. The consensus appears to be that the pair are hooded mergansers and the with the brown head is likely a female Barrows Goldeneye.

Original post 2/22/13:

These three ducks were observed recently on the New Fork River. Two are infrequent winter visitors to our area. Can our birders identify them?
