Pinedale Snow Explorers and Tip Top Search and Rescue will host a free workshop and field day to educate winter recreationists on the factors that contribute to avalanche hazard, analyze snowpack stability, learn terrain analysis and examine group dynamics. Attendees will also practice route finding strategies, making travel decisions in a group and companion rescue techniques, including the use of avalanche beacons. All ages welcome.

Friday, January 11 - Avalanche Classroom Workshop at Search & Rescue Building, 138 North Bridger Street in Pinedale from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm.
Saturday January 12 - Field Instruction in the Wyoming Range
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Attendees meet at 9:00 am sharp at Horse Creek parking area. Bring your own water, lunch, snacks.
