‘Soul Meditation’ art show at Pinedale Library through end of year
Artist reception Nov. 16th
November 14, 2012
New paintings, drawings and mixed media by Pinedale artist Isabel Rucker will be on display through the end of the year at the Pinedale Library. The display is entitled "Soul Meditation."
"This show will be featuring all new work on thoughts of our souls, guides and the unknown," said Rucker. "Soul Meditation" is one piece of artwork consisting of 11 individual 12x12" drawings. "The viewer begins looking through the snow and slowly flying upwards through the snow, stars, galaxies and into the unknown where space, souls, time all exist (or don't!) in different realms than what we know here on Earth. It is drawn on paper with acrylic ink and colored pencil. It is hung in a line so that the viewer may walk along to 'read' the story," Rucker said. There will also be a series of acrylic paintings in the show - "Her Guides" explore the guides one can call upon.
There will be a reception on Friday, November 16th from 5-8PM.
Isabel Rucker can be reached at 307-231-0515 or at her store, Isabel Jewelry & Gallery, located on 21 North Franklin Avenue in Pinedale. View more of her artwork on her websites: www.isabelrucker.com and www.isabeljewelry.com.
