Sage Grouse Working Group to meet Dec. 4

The Upper Green River Basin Local Sage Grouse Working Group will hold their next meeting at 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the Wyoming Game and Fish Pinedale Region office located at 432 East Mill Street in Pinedale.
The focus of the meeting will be to discuss updates to the working group’s sage grouse conservation plan. Additional topics will include progress reports on raven research and management, cheatgrass mapping and updates from the various land management agencies.
The public is invited to attend the meeting and a public participation period will be scheduled. Contact Pete Guernsey at (307) 367-3943 for additional information.
The group is one of eight regional working groups statewide. The group comprises local citizens representing groups interested in sage grouse conservation. The group develops and sets in motion conservation plans to benefit sage grouse and, when feasible, other species that use sagebrush habitats.
