Devan had good results at the Western Regional Junior Olympics held in Bozeman, Montana in mid-March. She was one of three racers from Wyoming selected to the Intermountain Division (IMD) team. The IMD team consisted of 18 woman and 22 men from Idaho, Utah and Wyoming and they competed against our other divisions, basically west of the Missouri River. Devan, age 15, finished in the top 15 (14th) in slalom and top 20 (17th) in giant slalom, out of 80 of the best alpine racers, ages 14 - 16, in the western United States. Because of her top 15 finish, she has been invited to participate in the Western Region training project at Mt. Bachelor, Oregon in June of this year. She made a lot of friends and met some great skiers at JO's. She is very excited about the up-coming opportunity at Mt. Bachelor, and is looking forward to a great ski season next year.
