Thursday, May 17 was the first day of filings for those wishing to be on the Wyoming Primary Election ballot in August, for various elected positions.
At the county level, John Lynn and Doug Vickrey both filed on Thursday with the Sublette County Clerk for the one available County Commissioner position which will be on the ballot this year.
No one filed yet for State House positions serving Sublette County, but for State Senate, both Stan Cooper, who would serve most of Sublette County in addition to portions of other counties, and also Dan Dockstader, who would serve the Daniel and Bondurant areas, in addition to portions of other counties, filed with the Wyoming Secretary of State on Thursday.
Those wishing to file for County and Precinct positions should do so at the Sublette County Courthouse in Pinedale, by going to the County Clerk's office, and those wishing to file for State Senate and State House positions have a new way of doing so this year: online. The entire application can be submitted on the Wyoming Secretary of State's web site, and the fee paid on-line with a credit card.
The final day for filing for any of these elected positions is Friday, June 1st.
