Open Letter from Sublette County Clerk Mary Lankford:
"I am inviting you to attend a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners with Senator Stan Cooper on Tuesday, November 15th at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Sublette County Courthouse in Pinedale, to discuss Senator Cooper’s Redistricting plan.
You can view all of the Redistricting plans on the Legislative Service Office Website: legisweb.state.wy.us
The plans (Working Plan 1 & 2) that have been brought forward by the Joint Corporations Committee leave Sublette County virtually the same as it has been for the past 10 years.
According to the 2010 census, Sublette County now has a population of 10,274. The County’s population has increased 73% since 2000, which is the largest increase in the State! It also is approximately 400 people more than a House District. Our County could have one House District within the boundaries of Sublette County.
The Joint Corporations Committee will be meeting in Cheyenne on December 5 & 6 to start making final plans for their recommendation to the 2012 Legislature.
Hope to see you Tuesday. "
