Elected officials in eight eastern Oregon counties have joined together to file a court brief that advocates the killing of problem wolves in that state. The brief was filed in response to a court-issued stay that prohibited the killing of two wolves that have repeatedly killed livestock.

In other Northwestern wolf news, Colville Indian Tribes worry that Washington state’s plan to recover wolves in that state may harm the Tribes’ ability to subsistence hunt.
