Junior Nordic skiers enjoy start of ski season

A few of the Pinedale Junior Nordic Ski Program members got an early start on skiing last week at Surveyor Park, with good snow conditions and grooming provided by the Sublette County Recreation Board.
This program is in its third season and is designed for children ages 8 to 15 years old of any experience level. Our objective is to get children outside having fun on skis and learning the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle.
Younger children focus on skiing for fun, while more experienced skiers and those interested in performance racing focus on building endurance, technique, and power skiing. Both classic and skate skiing techniques are taught.
Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and some Saturdays, from December through March.
For more information, please call one of the coaches: Tony Chambers (307-360-8850) or Jason Ray (307-360-6927). Look for our Techniques Clinic geared towards adults, coming up January 7th. "Ski for Fun! Ski for Life!"
