Work continues on the new Snake River Bridge at the Hoback Junction. Paving in the area has ceased and there are only minor expected delays at the bridge and in the Hoback Junction area.

The new arch of the bridge has been put in place, and bridge construction continues. The deck surface of the new bridge will not be constructed until 2012. The 600-ton crane, one of only a handful in the country, at the new bridge construction site for moving huge steel bridge pieces will remain on site for the continuing bridge construction.

The new bridge is expected to be opened later in 2012.

Work on a separate WYDOT project is happening further south in the Snake River Canyon. Additional information will be available through the project website (www.hobackbridge.com), the media, Facebook, and other internet updates.
