BLM Pinedale Field Office seeks public input on proposed well pad
November 23, 2011

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office (PFO) is seeking public comment on a proposed single well pad located on an existing improved access road in the Miller Mountain area approximately 14 miles southwest of LaBarge, Wyoming.

The proposed project is located in Township 26 North, Range 115 West, Sec. 35, NWNE. It is in a Class II Visual Resource Management Area and in the Miller Mountain Management Area as defined by the Pinedale Resource Management Plan. The project area is popular with outdoor recreationists and used by sage-grouse, elk, mule deer and pronghorn.

Additional information on this project is available at the PFO at 1625 W. Pine St. in Pinedale, Wyoming or http://www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/info/NEPA/documents/pfo/longshot.html.

The PFO will prepare an environmental assessment and public comments will help identify alternatives, issues associated with the proposal, potential effects of the proposed action and possible mitigation measures that can be incorporated to reduce those effects.

Comments should be as specific as possible. Please mail, deliver, email or fax comments by Dec. 20, 2011, to Jeff Hatch, Pinedale Field Office, P.O. Box 768, 1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale, WY 82941; jjhatch@blm.gov; 307-367-5329. PFO business hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, you should be aware that your entire comment – including your personal identifying information – may be made publicly available at any time. While you can ask us in your comment to withhold your personal identifying information from public review, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
