Sublette County Emergency Alert Program initiated
Sign up for alerts to your email and mobile devices
October 24, 2011
Get time-sensitive local alerts for severe weather, fires, road closures, missing persons, evacuations on your cell phone, email, text messages and hearing-impaired devices
The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) and Sublette County Emergency Management have partnered with Everbridge, a national leader in community notification, to implement a new system which will allow the SCSO to notify Sublette County residents of emergency situations. Currently all land phone lines in the county are a part of this notification system. The system can be programmed to automatically send out a recorded message to all land lines in the county with messages regarding emergencies, wild land fires, weather alerts, smoke reports, power outages and other community information.
The system has the capability of accepting additional contact numbers, if residents desire. The SCSO urges all residents to opt in with other information such as cell phone numbers and email addresses to fully utilize the system. In the event of an emergency, the Everbridge system currently can only notify you on your home phone. Opting in with other methods of contact will ensure residents get the message wherever they may be (vacation, work, snowbirds etc.).
This system is a great tool for getting accurate information to the residents of Sublette County, please take just a few moments to visit the Everbridge website and sign up!
Individuals with disabilities who need assistance can register by calling the Sublette County Sheriff's Office at 307-367-4378.
