The National Weather Service in Riverton advises ‘a significant snow event’ will begin Tuesday night across western Wyoming. Strong west to southwest winds expected from South Pass to Casper and over the eastern slopes of the Wind River and Absaroka Mountains. Significant snow expected through the day Wednesday with up to 12 inches accumulation possible in the mountains and 6 inches in the valleys of western Wyoming, including the Upper Green. The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Ozone Advisory For Tuesday, March 15, 2011. This is the 9th Ozone Advisory for the Upper Green River Valley since February 28, 2011. Current information on ozone levels at the Air Quality Division’s monitoring stations at Daniel, Pinedale, Boulder, Juel Spring and the Wyoming Range can be found at www.wyvisnet.com.
