Several Bondurant residents reported feeling a mild earthquake Wednesday evening. According to the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office, no damage was reported. According to the United States Geological Survey Earthquake Hazard Program website, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred at 6:04PM on Wednesday, August 4th. This quake was located approximately 4 miles underground, centered approximately 60 miles NNW of Pinedale, 20 miles ENE of Jackson, Wyoming, and 40 miles W of Dubois.

The National Weather Service issued an Earthquake Report at 6:28PM on Wednesday that an earthquake was felt weakly by many people in Western and Central Wyoming. The National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colorado has indicated a 5.3 magnitude earthquake was centered about 15 miles WNW of Logan, Utah. No damage was reported.
