Pinedale woman assaulted in her home
No suspects at this time; Residents urged to use caution and secure their premises

"At approximately 4:30 the morning of July 24, 2010 the Sublette County Sheriff’s dispatch received a call from a woman living on North Street in Pinedale, stating her roommate had a head injury and needed medical attention. Sheriff’s deputies responded and found a 20-year old female with substantial head trauma.
Investigation into the cause of the injury revealed that the caller had arrived at her home from a camping trip and that upon entering her home she noticed her door was open and that there were lights on. Upon looking around she noticed there was blood in her home and went to check on her roommate, at that time she noticed that her roommate was lying in bed and had a severe head wound. An ambulance arrived and the victim was taken to the Sublette County Medical Center and treated.
Sublette County Sheriff’s investigators are stating that at this time there are no suspects in this incident. Sheriff’s investigators are looking into two other incidents that have similar facts but are not sure at this time if they are connected. The Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to keep an eye open for anything that seems suspicious and out of the ordinary. Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately at 307-367-4378.
