Max Maxfield in Pinedale April 22
Will speak in support of the Lodging Tax

The Pinedale Travel & Tourism Action Committee and the Pinedale Lodging & Tourism Alliance invite the citizen of Pinedale to a Public Town Meeting Thursday April 22, 2010 at 6 PM at the Lovatt Room at the Sublette County Library. Special guest for this informative town meeting is Wyoming Secretary of State, Max Maxfield.
Secretary of State Max Maxfield will be the featured panel speaker explaining how the proposed Lodging Tax can benefit our people and businesses in Pinedale. Also on the panel will be a town council member, the Executive Director of the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce, the chairperson of the Pinedale Travel & Tourism Action Committee and the chairperson of the Pinedale Lodging & Tourism Alliance.
Secretary of State Max Maxfield will speak to an open luncheon at noon at Rendezvous Point Thursday, April 22. Lunch will be available for purchase. Later that evening in an open forum at the Pinedale Library’s Lovatt Room, hors d'oeuvres will be served beginning at 6:00 PM. The premier of the Sublette County Promotional DVD will also take place. All interested parties are encouraged to attend either session and ask any pertinent questions regarding the proposed Lodging Tax.
As a former Wyoming State Auditor and as Secretary of State for Wyoming since 2007, Max has extensive experience in working with communities who want to assure effective, accountable and responsible use of lodging tax revenue. Max is deeply aware of the issues facing many Wyoming communities impacted by diminishing mineral revenue and wants to explain how state programs can and are being used to boost the value of local lodging tax revenue.
Maxfield has previous experience as a YMCA director and as director of the Wyoming Recreation Commission. Max was the first appointed director of the Wyoming Department of Commerce. Maxfield previously served as executive director of the Wyoming Make-A-Wish Foundation and a financial consultant for nonprofit agencies in and outside Wyoming.
