CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Gov. Dave Freudenthal will be in Washington D.C. Wednesday, Jan. 20, as First Lady Nancy Freudenthal testifies before the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. Senate.

The First Lady has been nominated to serve as a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming. Her testimony is part of the confirmation process. Both the Committee and the entire Senate must confirm Ms. Freudenthal.

The hearing will begin at 12:30 p.m. (2:30 p.m. EST). The Judiciary Committee will webcast the hearing, which can be accessed at http://judiciary.senate.gov/hearings/hearing.cfm?id=4337.

Other witnesses before the committee:
* Denzil Price Marshal, Jr., nominated to be U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas;
* Benita Y. Pearson, nominated to be U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Ohio;
* Timothy S. Black, nominated to be U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Ohio;
* James P. Lynch, nominated as Director of the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
