Wolf packs This is the current wolf map provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Preliminary map of wolf packs in Wyoming (outside YNP) - November 2009. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service just provided a new estimate of Wyoming's minimum wolf population. FWS reported: "As of November 2009, preliminary estimates for Wyoming outside Yellowstone National Park (YNP) are >200 wolves in >30 packs (19-21 breeding pairs). Inside YNP there are approximately 116 wolves in 14 packs (6 breeding pairs)."
