| FWS tallies wolf conflicts 2009 by Cat Urbigkit, Pinedale Online!

 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reports that Based on preliminary reports through October 30, 2009, a total of 21 cattle, 183 sheep, and 4 dogs were recorded as confirmed wolf kills, and 29 wolves were killed in subsequent control actions in Wyoming. These depredations occurred in the following areas:
 Sheep conflicts

 Rock Creek (N. of Pinedale): 37 sheep, 6 wolves killed
 Big Horn Mountains: 101 sheep, 2 wolves killed
 Dog Creek (Snake River): 45 sheep, 5 wolves killed
 Total: 183 sheep, 13 wolves killed

 Upper Green River:   7 cattle, 4 wolves killed

 West of Cody: 6 cattle, 8 wolves killed
 Deer Creek (Casper): 1 calf, 0 wolves killed
 Big Piney: 1 calf, 0 wolves killed
 Dubois: 3 cattle, 2 wolves killed
