The horse and the dragonfly
This horse manages to escape his corral and goes out on a galloping adventure. He meets a teasing dragon fly, and the play between the two puppets is delightful.

African Elephant
The precision of movement of this elephant marionette included lifting items with his trunk, putting food in his mouth and chewing, flapping his ears, and very believable walking movements and mannerisms.

Pinedale was treated to a wonderful performance by the Cashore Marionettes on Wednesday, October 21st, in the new Lovatt Room at the Pinedale Library. With precision dexterity using only two hands, he manipulated a maze of strings to bring incredible movement and expression to a variety of puppets and props in fourteen skits.

Puppeteer Joseph Cashore created his first marionette from clothespins, wood, string and a tin can at the age of 11, inspiring a life-long interest and passion for refining the control mechanisms for the movement and manipulation of marionettes, puppets controlled by strings. Hailing from Pennsylvania, he has been performing full-time since 1990. He has garnered numerous awards for his skill as a puppeteer, and delighted audiences across North America, Europe and Asia.

Mr. Cashore, and his wife and assistant, Wilma Cashore, will give another performance to Pinedale Elementary School 4th grade students on Thursday.

The performance was a presentation of the Pinedale Fine Arts Council.
