Line Dancing at Rendezvous Pointe- Wednesdays, Sept 16-Oct. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. - $10
Take a step toward dancing with line dancing workshops. Every Wednesday evening for seven weeks, learn old and new steps that will have you dancing the night away. Some of the dances are Boot Scoot Boogie, Alabama, Cat Fish, Raggae Cowboy, Slappin Leather, Cowboy Charleston and many others. It is great exercise and you do not need a partner!! for all seven weeks –
Simply Sewing Returns – Sept. 28, 29 and 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Rendezvous Pointe craft room - $15. Learn the basics as you construct a pillow case and other projects that introduce you to sewing
COMPUTER CLASSES - $10 each
Excel 2003 - Oct. 6, 8, 13 and 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the High School Library Media Center
Two evenings a week for two weeks, participants will learn basic elements of Excel 2003, including how to create a worksheet and enter data and formulas as well as formatting cells and working with graphing.
WORD 2003 - Oct. 27 & 29 and Nov. 3 & 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the High School Library Media Center
Two evenings a week for two weeks, participants will learn basic elements of Microsoft Word 2003, including basic navigation of the program as well as how to set up a page, working with headers and footers, and creating envelopes and mailing labels.
ACCESS 2003 - Nov. 10, 12, 17 and 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the High School Library Media Center
Two evenings a week for two weeks, participants will learn basic elements of ACCESS 2003, learning how to create databases, construct new forms and customizing toolbars.
ART CLASSES
Outdoor Sketching - Saturday, Sept. 19 from noon to 3 p.m.at Sandy Beach Picnic Area - $10
This workshop will include two of great loves of the instructor: Drawing and nature. Participants will meet at Sandy Beach Picnic Area and find a great spot to sketch. Participants will have guided instruction and feedback. Bring your drawing supplies with you.
Discovering the Creativity Within – Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon in the BOCES Classroom - $15
Much of making art in all forms is simply a desire to do it. Then you have to narrow down just exactly makes you tick. In this course, participants will take part in a few fun exercises to help narrow down personal inspirations as well as tools and techniques to stay in the creative mode.
Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon in the BOCES Classroom
Introduction to Altered Books - Nov. 5, 6 and 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the BOCES Classroom - $15
Design a cover and discus methods of collage, pockets and slides, windows, transfer techniques, embellishments, tags, pop outs, drawers, etc. Bring some photos and an old book. – Bring a snack on Saturday!
Christmas Card Making Workshop - Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the BOCES Classroom - $15
Design and create unique and tailored Christmas Cards this season. Spend a Saturday with an instructor to guide you in your special occasion creation. - Bring water and a snack for this half-day of creative fun!!!
