In response to considerable public comment and concern, the Pinedale Town Council voted to table the 2nd Reading for controversial Ordinance 442 at their regular meeting Monday night, January 12th to allow more time for public inpuy.
Mayor Steve Smith said he had received numerous phone calls, e-mails, letters and personal conversations with people concerned over the proposed new ordinance.
Council members agreed that there should be more time for public review and input on the particular elements of the new Site Plan ordinance.
Anyone interested in making comments or suggestions about Ordinance 442 is encouraged to write, e-mail, call or stop by and talk with Council members or the Town Engineer about their specific concerns.
The Chamber of Commerce has sent out a note asking their members who have concerns about the ordinance to get back with the Board of Directors soon so they can make comments on behalf of their members to the Town Council.
Copies of the ordinance are available at the Town Hall and at the link below. The Ordinance has already passed the 1st Reading. It will need to go through two more public readings before it becomes effective.
