Two small fires in Wyoming Range

Two small wildfires were reported in the Wyoming Range on Friday. The Prospect Fire is 1/16th of an acre, burning in the Lookout Mountain-Horse Creek area. The ¼-acre Kilgore fire is located in the vicinity of Cliff Creek-Hoback area.
The Forest Service has two-to-three person crews on each blaze constructing fire line and mopping up spots.
According to Bridger-Teton National Forest Information Officer Nan Stinson, the cause of these fires has not been determined, however lightning was reported in the area.
The other larger fire producing smoke in the Wyoming Range is a controlled burn in the Maki Creek area of North Cottonwood Creek, east of Mount McDougal.
