September is National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. The Recovery Month effort aims to promote the societal benefits of alcohol and drug use disorder treatment, laud the contributions of treatment providers and promote the message that recovery from alcohol and drug use disorders in all its forms is possible.
Curran-Seeley Foundation, a private, non-profit agency specializing in substance abuse counseling services, wants to heighten awareness of local services available for people in need of treatment for substance abuse.
Curran-Seeley is celebrating their first anniversary in Pinedale. Their main office is located in Jackson. They opened a branch office in Pinedale after experiencing increasing requests for their services in Sublette County. They provide comprehensive alcohol and drug counseling, treatment and prevention services to residents of Sublette and Teton Counties. They are a State-certified community substance abuse center. Their Sublette County office is located in the old McGregor’s Pub building at 21 North Franklin Street. Services and classes are available for men, women and adolescents. "We have a strong family participation component," said Kay Ryan, Prevention Specialist. Fees are on a sliding scale based on ability to pay.
