The Sublette Chamber of Commerce and EnCana Oil and Gas (USA) are hosting a public field tour of EnCana operations in the Jonah Field on Saturday, October 4.
The tour will begin at 9 a.m. at the American Legion Park in Pinedale, and will return to the park at 4 p.m. Lunch will be served.
"This is an opportunity for community members to see local gas field production areas first hand," said Terrie Swift, Sublette Chamber Director. "We invite the public to see the new innovative technologies that we are applying in the Jonah Field," added Randy Teeuwen, EnCana Community Relations Advisor.
Participants are required to wear heavy leather boots, jeans and cotton clothing (no nylon). EnCana will furnish hearing protection, hard hats and safety glasses. Transportation will be provided.
The Jonah Field is located 30 miles south of Pinedale. The tour will showcase a natural gas rig, mat drilling project, remote fracing, production, reclamation and other EnCana innovations.
Please contact the Sublette Chamber of Commerce to make reservations for the tour by October 1, 2008. Participation is limited to 31 so early reservations are encouraged. Make reservations by calling 307-367-2242, or by emailing: director@sublettechamber.com.
