Free Use firewood permits available

(Pinedale) - The Pinedale Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest is offering free personal use firewood permits in the Green River Lakes Area. Permit and map must be picked up at the Pinedale Ranger Station at 29 East Fremont Lake Road in Pinedale prior to gathering wood.
The unit is located inside the cattleguard at the Green River Lakes recreation site which includes the campground, trailhead, boat site, and main access roads between these sites. The permits are for removal of dead and down wood only, no standing wood is to be cut.
All log lengths must be cut 8 feet or shorter in length. There is a maximum of 4 cords per household which can be issued.
