Rendezvous Schedule of Events
July 9, 2008

Times and events listed below are subject to last minute changes. Be sure to pick up a final schedule at Rendezvous Days from the Visitors Center and Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale.

THURSDAY: July 10, 2008
9 am - 5 pm: Museum of the Mountain Man (MMM) Gallery & Gift Shop open. The Museum is located on the east side of Pinedale. Take the Fremont Lake Road up the hill appx 1/4 mile. Watch for Museum signs, turn right, then right again
9 am - 6 pm: Trader's Row Authentic beadwork, pelts, period clothing and accessories. Candy Cannon three times a day. Traders Row will be between Faler’s Genral Store and Sublette Center Retirement Center on Bridger Avenue, one block north of Hwy 191. Signs will be posted to direct people. Please do not park in the Sublette Center parking lot which is reserved for its residents.
9 am - 7 pm: Rendezvous Street Arts & Craft Fair Vendors on both sides of Pine Street. Sponsored by the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce. Thursday through Sunday.
6 pm: Rocky Mountain Fur Trade Journal Reception and 2008 Awards
7 pm: Rendezvous Rodeo Barrel Racing, Senior & Junior Peewee Barres, Breakaway, Calf Roping, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Bulls, Bareback, Saddle Bronc, $5 admission, 12 & Under FREE. At the rodeo grounds just south of Pinedale.
7:30 pm: Rocky Mountain Fur Trade Journal Editor and Featured Speaker "The Mystery Trails: Andrew Henry and the St. Louis Fur Company’s Controversial Routes of 1809, 1810, and 1811" by Dr. Fred Gowans. North lawn grandstand.

FRIDAY, July 11, 2008
9 am - 5 pm: Museum of the Mountain Man (MMM) Gallery & Gift Shop open
9 am - Noon: Tour of the Confluence of the Green River and Horse CreekMeet at the Museum of the Mountain Man at 9:00 AM. Bring a chair, water and snacks.
9 am - 6 pm: Trader's Row Authentic beadwork, pelts, period clothing and accessories. Candy Cannon three times a day. 11 am - 1:30 pm: Michael Terry Plains Indian Encampment MMM, East canopy with Indian camp
11 am - 3 pm: Buffalo Burger Lunch MMM patio
1 - 2 pm: AMM Demonstrations: Beaver Trapping/Skinning/Beaver Fur PressMMM, North Ampitheater
1 - 3 pm: Children's Programs by Lapita Frewin, MMM, East canopy, adjacent to Michael Terry's area
2 - 4 pm: Rocky Mountain Fur Trade Journal: Guest Speakers and Forum MMM, Held at the North lawn grandstand

SATURDAY, July 12, 2008
7 am: Rendezvous Ramble 5-Mile Walk or Run to Fremont Lake Overlook Start at Tegeler/Allen Agency building, corner of Tyler & Pine Streets, and goes to Fremont Lake overlook. Register any time before the race. $5 entry fee, which includes a race t-shirt. All proceeds to be donated to the McKenzie Meningitis Foundation. 7 - 10 am: Pinedale Community UUC Rendezvous Pancake Breakfast Held at the church, 113 S. Maybell. All you can eat. Free will donation. Feast on pancakes, ham, eggs, juice, coffee and milk. Everyone welcome! An annual event by the church for nearly 20 years!
9 am: Rendezvous Rumble 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Team check in and games begin at 9:00 am. Games held at the High Country Suites Hotel parking lot (west end of Pinedale).
9 - 11 am: AMM Demonstration: Horses, tack and packing MMM, North Ampitheater
9 - 11 am: Children's programs by Lapita Frewin, MMM, East canopy, adjacent to Micahel Terry's area
9 am - 2 pm: Rendezvous Pie Sale
You may buy a slice or buy the whole pie! Fruit pies, pecan pies, coconut cream pies, chocoate pies. We have all kinds of pies! At St Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church, 534 W Pine Street. Come early for the best selection!
9 am - 5 pm: Street Arts & Craft Vendors on both sides of Pine Street

11 am - 3 pm: Buffalo Burger Lunch MMM patio.
Noon: Women's Frying Pan Toss $5 Entry Fee-Trader's Row. Pay out given at the end of event. 1st-50% of purse per event, 2nd-30% of purse per event, 3rd-20% of purse per event.

Noon - 2 pm: Rendezvous Kids Fishing Derby At the Kid's Fishing Pond in Boyd Skinner Memorial Park (2 blocks south of Pinedale Town Hall) Sponsored by the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce, Two Rivers Emporium & Ridley's.
1 pm: Rendezvous Horse Shoe Tournament At American Legion Park. Sponsored by the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce..

7 pm: Rendezvous Rodeo Finals At the Pinedale rodeo grounds
After the Rodeo
7 pm: "Spirit of the Winds" Fireworks Show Sponsored by the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce. Fireworks set off from the Pinedale ballpark, behind the medical clinic.
8 pm: AMM Campfire Stories and Songs MMM, North Ampitheater

SUNDAY, July 13, 2008
8 am: Atlatl, Hawk, Knife, Primitive Bow & Arrow Competition $5 Entry fee, 25 cents per practice throw. Pay out given at the end of the event. 1st-50% of purse per event, 2nd-30% of purse per event, 3rd-20% of purse per event. Next to Proactive Rehabilitation.
9 am - Noon: American Mountain Man Encampment
9 am - 5 pm: Museum of the Mountain Man Gallery & Gift Shop open
9 am - 10 am: AMM Demonstrations: Mountain Man ClothingMMM, North Ampitheater
10 am - 11 am: AMM Demonstrations: Horses, tack and packing MMM, North Ampitheater
10 am: Prairie Mass at DeSmet Monument
Turn east at marker on Hwy 189 appx 3 miles south of Daniel. Watch for signs for . Daniel Cemetery and DeSmet Monument historical marker sign. Drive down gravel road to site on hill which overlooks the historic Green River Rendezvous grounds. Next to the Daniel Cemetery.
10 am - Noon: Michael Terry Plains Indian Encampment MMM, East canopy with Indian camp
11 am - Noon: AMM Demonstrations: Sign Language MMM, North Ampitheater
Noon - 4 PM: Farmer's Market & Impromptu Jam Session All Musicians invited. At Wind River Pizzeria, 4 Country Club Lane.
1 pm : 74th annual Rendezvous Pageant
$5 admission at gate. Rendezvous Pageant Grounds just south of Pinedale (just east of the Rodeo Grounds) Concessions will be provided by the Lions Club, 11:30 AM. Pageant presented by the Green River Rendezvous Pageant Association. www.MeetMeontheGreen.com
2:30 - 4 pm: Michael Terry Plains Indian Encampment MMM, East canopy with Indian camp
3 pm: Annual Beard Shaving In front of the Cowboy Bar in downtown Pinedale. Sponsored by the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce and Cattle Kate's. Proceeds to go to different charities.
