EPA scientists wanted stricter limits: Bush administration pulls last-minute intervention for less restrictive limit March 14, 2008 The Washington Post wrote an article on Friday, March 14, saying the Bush Administration pulled a last-minute interference in the new Ozone standard limits the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had planned to release on Wednesday, March 12th. As a result of the intervention, the EPA weakened one part of its new limits on smog-forming ozone. The EPA had set a press conference for 2:00 PM on Wednesday to announce the new standards, then hastily changed that conference to 6:00 PM. |
