Timber bridge over Lee's Ditch to be replaced
Fremont Lake Road in Pinedale

(Pinedale) - Motorists using Sublette County Road 350-1, Fremont Lake Road, are advised to expect minor traffic delays as the timber bridge at Lee's Ditch is replaced.

Reiman Corporation has installed a temporary traffic signal to handle traffic along with concrete barriers and occasional flaggers. Traffic will be diverted to one edge of the bridge while the contractor installs a portion of a precast box culvert on the upstream (north) side and then will remove the existing timber bridge. The new precast box culverts will be considerably wider than the existing timber bridge, however, the traveled way and shoulders will not be any wider than what is there now.

"I just want to get the word out that the construction is underway and the public needs to be aware that there could be some minor delays. The travel lane will be very narrow, so it is important that motorist not run the signal and obey the 20 M.P.H. speed limit," said Bob Maxam, WYDOT Resident Engineer in Pinedale.

It is anticipated that the contractor will have the old bridge out and the new box in by March 30, weather permitting. Reiman Corp. was awarded the $639,303.25 contract on Nov. 15, 2007 with a scheduled completion date of Sept. 20, 2008.
