Wrecks on the WYO 351 Green River Bridge
Pictures of the October 28, 2007 crash

We received pictures today from the October 28th three-vehicle wreck that shut down Hwy 351 at the Green River bridge for nearly eight hours. We have updated our original story of that accident with 17 of these photos which illustrate how dangerous this bridge is and the horrific accidents that are happening on it.
Now, with winter and icy roads upon us, it is even more important that every driver slow down and uses caution on this road and on this bridge. We want to thank the local law enforcement agencies and officers who have stepped up the traffic stops on this road and are issuing citations for people who still aren’t slowing down for the newly enacted 55 mile per hour speed limit reduction. We also thank employers who are letting their employees know they support the slower speed and encourage their workers to abide by it, even if it means arriving to work a little late. And especially, we express our appreciation to every driver who keeps their speedometer at 55 when it is so easy to push it up to 65 or 70 because we’re all in a hurry these days with the hustle of the boom.
We hope by posting the photos of this accident, and the one a year ago, it will help re-emphasize the importance of drivers slowing down and driving safely on this dangerous road, and maybe it will help in some way in getting this bridge replacement bumped up in priority in the state’s road work schedule.
