Scott Almdale took three excursions recently around Sublette County to enjoy the beautiful fall colors and sent in these pictures.
The first trip was on the Horse Creek Road, over to North Cottonwood Creek and the McDougal Gap road over to Greys River Road in the Wyoming Range, following down river to Alpine. “Near the mouth of the river, there were gorgeous mountain maples in their full fall glory.”
His second trip was on the Fremont Lake Road to enjoy the aspens with the yellow fall colors. “There are many places where the aspens were peaking with fall colors, but there were others that were still green or just beginning to turn,” he said.
On his third outing, he hiked around Lower Green River Lake with views of Square Top Mountain and other less-known peaks in view. “I must admit this trail was one of the prettiest trails I have ever hiked.”
Happy Trails!
