The first New Yorkers at the Moondance Diner in LaBarge
August 18, 2007
The first New Yorkers to visit the Moondance Diner in LaBarge The Moondance Diner arrived in LaBarge at dusk Friday evening, after a two week saga to bring it from New York and save it from the wrecking ball.
On Saturday, new owners Vince and Cheryl Pierce and crews unloaded the diner onto supports and spent the day securing it. While working, a couple from New York came by and stopped to visit. They knew the story of the diner and made a special detour from their Yellowstone National Park visit, 120 miles south to LaBarge, just to see the Moondance in its new home.
Here, Aiko Chan and P. J. Ewing of New York (left) pose with Moondance Diner owners Vince and Cheryl Pierce in front of the Moondance in LaBarge on Saturday.
