The Kendall Valley Volunteer Fire Department held their first annual BBQ on Saturday, August 18th. The department is raising money to build a new fire hall along with a community center. Chambers Design-Build has drawn up plans and they hope to begin building in October, 2007.

Kendall Valley is a small valley surrounding the Upper Green River above The Place/Green River Guest Ranch, approximately 15 miles from the town of Cora.

According to Fire Chief Festus Krause, Kendall Volunteer Fire Department is an official county fire department. Kendall Valley's 22 volunteer firefighters cover territory from Forty Rod Road up the Green River Lakes Road.
