(Rock Springs) - The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will close Interstate 80 east bound off ramp at the Pilot Butte Exit to expedite the removal of concrete from the ramp and interstate. The closure will take place on Thursday, July 12 at 6:30 a.m. through Tuesday, July17 at 6:30 p.m.

Motorist will need to plan alternative routes, using Exit 104 (Elk Street) or Exit 111 (the Airport Exit). This closure affects only the east bound off ramp traffic at Exit 107. When the ramp reopens, motorists will be using a gravel surface.

WYDOT and the prime contractor, Upper Plains Contracting, Inc. are committed to public and contractor safety and urges motorists to slow down, be alert and cautious while driving through construction areas, as well as being prepared for delays and give themselves extra time to reach their destinations.
