Half Moon Lake Half Moon Lake is starting to thaw around the edges.

The snow in and around Pinedale has just about completely melted. Although we get frequent snow showers in the spring months, the snow usually melts quickly. There are over a thousand lakes and many streams in Sublette County. Most of the creeks and streams at lower elevations have melted and the lakes are starting to thaw.

It will still be another month or two (think late June-ish) before winter gives up its grip to open up trails to lakes at the very high mountain elevations.
