Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Pinedale
Winds over 60 mph, lightning, blowing debris

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Sublette County in west central Wyoming including the town of Pinedale. The warning is in effect until 5:15 PM.

At 404 PM MDT National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm near Big Sandy capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. Another severe thunderstorm was located about 10 miles southeast of Bondurant capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. In addition, numerous showers across Sublette County could quickly become severe producing damaging wind gusts in excess of 60 mph.

The severe thunderstorms will be near U.S. Hwy 191 mile marker 90 and Wenz field by 4:15 PM,
Half Moon Lake, White Pine ski area and 7 miles east of Fremont Lake by 425 PM MDT, Bondurant by around 425 PM MDT.

These are dangerous storms. If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail, and deadly cloud to ground lightning. People outside should move to a shelter, preferably inside a strong building but away from windows.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is also in effect for southern Lincoln County in West Central Wyoming, including the city of Kemmerer until 5:15 PM. A line of severe thunderstorms in the area is capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from U.S. Hwy 30/89 mile marker 20 to 10 miles southwest of Elkol, or along a line extending from 21 miles northeast of Randolph to 15 miles Southwest of Kemmerer and moving Northeast at 35 mph.

Severe thunderstorms will be near U.S. Hwy 30 mile marker 60 and Fossil Butte National Monument by 4:30 PM MDT; U.S. Hwy 30 mile marker 80; U.S. Hwy 30 mile marker 70; Diamondville and Kemmerer by 4:35 PM; U.S. Hwy 189 mile marker 40 by 4:40 PM; U.S. Hwy 189 mile marker 50 and Pine Creek Ski Area by 4:45 PM; Hwy Jct 189 and 240 by 4:50 PM. This is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail, and deadly cloud to ground lightning.
